Health Safety and COVID-19 Guidelines (as of February 21, 2022)
We believe that the health and well-being of our students, audiences, volunteers, artists, renters and staff is vital AND that live performances can enhance and contribute to one’s health and well-being. That’s why we’re operating with the Safety Mitigation Plan approved by the South Milwaukee School Board. We are currently at full capacity seating. We’ll continue to monitor the latest COVID-19 information and update our policies as needed.
Everyone who visits our theatre is asked to follow these policies.
Illness or Cold Symptoms - Please stay home if you are experiencing cold or flu-like symptoms, if you've tested positive for COVID-19 or think you may be positive for COVID-19.
Face Coverings - Effective March 7, 2022, face-coverings are optional as long as the high school’s positivity rate is less than 1.5% or less. If the positivity rate increases to 1.5% or greater, face-coverings will be required for audience members in the common areas of the building (entryway, lobby and restrooms). Face-coverings are not required in the theatre for audience members or for performers. We recommend bringing a face-covering with you in case the positivity rate is at 1.5% or greater.
Physical Distancing – There is currently no requirement for physical distancing.
Hand Sanitizer – Sanitizer dispensers are available in the lobby and throughout the theatre offices and backstage areas.
Cleaning – Theatre, restrooms and backstage areas are cleaned before and after each event.
Calendar of Events – Performances and events will continue as scheduled unless otherwise directed by public health officials or school district administration. Please check our website, southmilwaukeepac.org, and Facebook page for updates.
Tickets, Cancellations & Refunds – Advance tickets are sold via our website, southmilwaukeepac.org or by phone, (414) 766-5049. Most tickets may be purchased at the Box Office one hour before show time. Tickets are non-refundable except when a show is cancelled and not rescheduled. If a show must be cancelled due to community health or other unplanned reasons, patrons will be notified by email.
Doors – Theatre doors open approximately 30 minutes before show time. Patrons are encouraged to take their seats upon arrival.
Live Streaming – A live streaming option is available for selected shows only. Live streaming is not available for all performances. Renters who choose to livestream events will be required to ensure that their content has the appropriate licensing.
SMPAC staff appreciates your cooperation and support. Please feel free to contact us with any questions or concerns.
